Rhythm and Muse

WELCOME!

Rhythm & Muse is a dynamic poetry and music event held on the last Thursday of the month at the Ram Jam Club in Kingston. Launched in Teddington in July 2007 by Alison Hill and hosted by Nick Poole, Rhythm & Muse offers:

  • an opportunity to hear new and established performers, plus emerging poets from Kingston University
  • a chance to share your poetry and music at the open mic
  • a friendly, welcoming venue and an appreciative audience
  • a wide range of poetry (page to performance poets) and music (singer-songwriters and bands)

Come and enjoy the R&M experience!

FESTIVAL 2011

Roger McGough, Alison Hill and David Rogers at the Ram Jam

Rhythm & Muse works in partnership with Kingston Writing School and ran its first joint Festival in October 2011.
The two-day event proved a successful showcase for emerging poets and musicians and a stage for more established names - many thanks to all involved. More joint events are planned.
